Full tear-off, new decking where the old boards are soft, fresh underlayment and architectural shingles, then a clean yard and a walk-through.

When a roof is past patching, we take it all the way off. Every old shingle and every layer of underlayment comes up, so we can see the decking underneath. That is the only way to find the soft boards, the old leak stains and the rotted edges that a layer over the top would hide. Bad decking gets replaced before anything new goes down.
Then the roof gets built back up the right way: new underlayment, then architectural shingles, which are thicker than the old flat three-tab kind and hold up better to Georgia wind and summer heat. Most architectural shingle roofs last roughly 20 to 30 years, so this is a job you want done once and done right.
The part people remember is the end. We haul off the old shingles, clean the yard and the driveway, and walk the finished roof with you before we call it done. If something does not look right to you, that is when we want to hear it.
“Our experience with Dave was excellent in every regard- communication was quick and thorough, pricing was competitive, and the work was done professionally and on time!”
No. Every replacement we do is a full tear-off down to the decking. A second layer adds weight and hides whatever is wrong underneath, like soft boards or old leak damage. Taking it all off is how we find those and fix them before the new roof goes on.
Architectural shingles. They are thicker and heavier than the old flat three-tab style, they look more like real texture from the street, and they handle wind and heat better. You pick the color before the job starts.
We protect the shrubs and beds around the house while the old roof comes off, keep a dumpster on site for the debris, and clean the yard and driveway when we finish. Then we walk the roof with you before we call it done.
